OUR STORYIt All Started With Two Dogs
Founded by Northern Kentucky natives Laurie and Jason, Ruffin’ It was born from firsthand experience.
Their Weimaraner, Stella, struggled with separation anxiety and needed a safe, engaging environment while her family was away. At the same time, her older brother Schultz preferred a quieter pace and wasn’t always interested in socializing with other dogs.
When Laurie and Jason couldn’t find a facility that could comfortably accommodate both personalities, they decided to create one themselves.
Today, Ruffin’ It is designed to meet the needs of every dog—from the social butterflies who love group play to the laid-back companions who simply want a comfortable place to relax.
Every dog is carefully evaluated and matched with compatible play groups based on personality, size, and activity level.
We maintain a safe, clean facility designed to keep dogs comfortable throughout their stay.
Every dog is different, and we believe their care should be too.

Our staff completes professional PackPro Training and participates in ongoing pet safety, handling, and CPR education to ensure every dog receives knowledgeable, compassionate care.

Since opening our doors in 2015, we’ve helped countless dogs become more confident, social, and well-balanced through positive experiences and structured interaction.
